Vove Safety Policy & Guidelines

At Vove, your safety is important to us. This Safety Policy outlines the steps we take to promote user safety, as well as the responsibilities users assume when using our services. Dating and meeting new people carries inherent risks and users must exercise caution and personal judgment at all times.

 

This Safety Policy applies to all users of the Vove mobile application and related services (the “Service”).

 

1. No Guarantee of Safety

We strive to provide tools and information to promote safer interactions, but we do not and cannot guarantee user safety.

• We do not conduct criminal background checks, identity verification, or screening of users unless explicitly stated otherwise.

• We make no representations or warranties regarding the conduct, identity, intentions, or safety of any user.

Your use of the Service and interactions with other users are entirely at your own risk.

 

2. Assumption of Risk

By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You may encounter individuals who misrepresent themselves or act inappropriately.

• Online interactions may lead to in-person meetings, which involve additional risks.

• We are not responsible for incidents, injuries, damages, losses, or disputes arising from interactions between users.

You voluntarily assume all risks associated with using the Service, including meeting users in person.

 

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect your own safety. We strongly encourage users to:

• Communicate within the app before meeting in person

• Meet in public places for first meetings

• Inform a friend or family member of your plans

• Arrange your own transportation

• Trust your instincts and leave any situation that feels unsafe

• Avoid sharing sensitive personal information (home address, financial details, workplace, etc.)

 

4.Location-Based Matching Disclosure

The Service uses location-based technology to connect users nearby.

• Location data may be approximate or precise depending on your device settings.

• Sharing location information increases the possibility of being identified or located by others.

• You control location permissions through your device settings.

We are not responsible for misuse of location information by other users.

 

5. In-Person Meetings

If you choose to meet another user offline:

• You do so voluntarily and at your own risk

• We do not supervise, arrange, or participate in meetings

• We are not responsible for what happens before, during, or after meetings

We do not provide escort services, matchmaking guarantees, or safety monitoring.

 

6. Reporting & Blocking

We provide in-app tools that allow users to:

• Block other users

• Report inappropriate behavior, profiles, or messages

Reports may be reviewed at our discretion. We may take action including warning, suspending, or terminating accounts, but we are not obligated to investigate or act on every report.

 

7. Prohibited Behavior

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

• Harassment, hate speech, or threats

• Sexual exploitation or abuse

• Stalking or intimidation

• Violence or threats of violence

• Fraud, scams, or impersonation

• Sharing explicit or illegal content

• Solicitation, trafficking, or prostitution

Violations may result in immediate account termination.

 

11. Policy Updates

We may update this Safety Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
